Our second day in Paris had a bunch of walking planned and after those 284 steps up the Arc de Triomphe, our legs were burninnnnng! We started off our day at Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris.

This cathedral is absolutely beautiful. Everything about it was stunning to me. The high ceilings, the details on the pillars, the statues. EVERYTHING. I really wanted to climb to the top of Notre Dame, but 383 steps just sounded quite daunting, especially after yesterday’s climb.
After Notre Dame, we headed to Sainte Chapelle.

When you first enter Sainte Chapelle, you’re kind of disappointed at what you see. It was a small run-down room. However, you find some stairs tucked away in the corner and climb up to find a gorgeous room that is made of cathedral ceilings and stained-glass windows and you’re in awe. My picture above does NOT give it any justice.
After Sainte Chapelle, we headed to Le Centre Pompidou, which is their museum of modern art.

The tubes on the outside are escalators that take you from the 2nd level to the 5th floor, which is the main floor.

We headed back to our hotel to rest a bit since we started our day pretty early. After resting a bit, we headed down the street to the Pantheon and Le Jardin du Luxemburg to end our day.
