Napa Valley.

Somehow my aunt convinced my parents and I to go to Napa Saturday morning. Of course, having yet another sleepless night, waking up at 6:45am was a struggle, so I didn’t and hit snooze until about 7:15am when I realized I had to get up and get ready cause my aunt wanted to leave at 8am. So I took a shower and beat my face to the gods with that Urban Decay Naked Heat palette. Threw on some eyeliner and falsies, too. Did it in 30 minutes. But yet somehow we managed to leave the apartment at 8am and got to my aunts at 8:15am. Of course we had to pick up my other aunt. Long story short, we were running behind schedule, but we were off to Napa Valley!

Our first stop was V Sattui. I recommended this spot to my aunts because they only really like sweet wines. Plus, I think V Sattui is fun. The tasting is quite affordable at $15 for 5 pours. And the picnic area is great. So after an hour and 30 minutes of driving we finally arrived and everyone used the rest room and went into the tasting room where I found some cool signs that I though were totally me.

Then we did the tasting. We tried the Gamay Rouge, Rosato di Sangiovese, Sattui Family Red, one of the Cabs, and the Moscato. I ended up getting two bottles of the Moscato, the Family Red, and then a bottle of Gamay to have during lunch.

We all bought a bunch of food and picked a picnic table outside. I grabbed a sour baguette, Cowgirl Creamery Mt. Tam Brie, smoked mustard, and GF pretzel sticks. I drank about 3/4 of that Gamay. Everyone was quite surprised that I was functioning perfectly considering my 2 aunts who did the wine tasting were drunk. After lunch we took a couple of pictures on the grounds.

Then we were off to our next destination: Castello di Amorosa. My aunt wanted to buy a bottle of La Fantasia. I just wanted to take pictures of the castle.

So while my dad and aunt were inside buying their wine, my mom and I went exploring and took pictures. So that was my Saturday morning.
