Day 3 of our trip we decided to go to Hollywood Studios. It reminded me of a smaller and dated version of Disney’s California Adventures.
We rode several rides and definitely ate more churros since there were more churro carts. Tell me why the smallest park had the most churro carts? WHY WDW?
Toy Story Land was super cute. I thought they did a very good job decorating the land !! Unfortunately we were unable to ride the Slinky Dog Dash roller coaster because the line for that ride was just crazy long. We did however ride Toy Story Mania, which is exactly like the one in DCA. What I did enjoy was the line queue for the ride. It was all indoors, which was a relief from the warm humidity.
Another ride in Toy Story Land was Alien Swirling Saucers, which is very similar to Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree. I rode the ride by myself in my cart which I enjoyed since I got to move around more freely!
Oh, Tower of Terror. You always mess me up. I get bad anxiety whenever I ride this ride… or any free falling rides. However, this ride messed me up in the beginning. WHY DID THE THE CARRIAGE MOVE?? WHY WAS IT ON A TRACK? I did not like that at all. Anyways, was it me or was this Tower of Terror shorter than the one in CA?
We rode Star Tours, which was just like the one in Disneyland. I really like the queue for this ride, too! Disneyland, you should consider making the queues for some of your rides more bearable, especially since some of them are directly out in the sun (*ahem* Matterhorn).
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith was such a random ride to find in Hollywood Studios, but I enjoyed it! We start off by watching Aerosmith in the recording studio and they invite us to a show that we have to speed to get to in a “limo.” The ride starts off launching us and it was a lot of fun!
My churro count for the day was 2 churros, so a total of 4 for the trip. Pretty disappointing, but better than the day before.
Overall Thoughts: Hollywood Studios was OK. For such a small park, you really don’t need a whole day there. I think we left around 4pm and ended up at Disney Springs and watched Lego Movie 2. Now that Star Wars: Galaxy Edge is coming to Hollywood Studios, I guess it’s going to be more appealing. Also, I think Hollywood Studios can use a good paint job.
