Being that my girlfriends and I live within less than 10 miles from each other and it is such a shame that the last time the three of us was together was in Napa in December. I suppose life just happens. I mean, I do see S here and there, but L I haven’t seen since December. I’m such a bad friend.
Anyways, we decided to meet up at The English Rose in Pleasanton. We haven’t had tea since S’s birthday five years ago (when I was blonde haha See Below), so this was the perfect time for us to get together!
Well, The English Rose was so cutely decorated! I loved all the pink and little sofas and cute decorations! When we were seated at our little round table with a love seat and two chairs, we were greeted by our waitress, who was super kind and so helpful! She started us with a tropical tea and a cookie that was delicious! We then ordered ourselves two tea pots: Earl Grey Lavender and Darjeeling. Haylee got her own princess tea (which was a strawberry lemonade tea… I think) that they put in her own tea pot as well. Our spread consisted of a scone (served with clotted cream, lemon curd, and preserves); 6 sandwiches (egg, cucumber and cream cheese, chicken salad, a mushroom pinwheel, a sundried tomato puff pastry, and toast with goat cheese and pistachios); and dessert (a vanilla bean macaron, s’mores fudge; and another chocolate dessert).
The food was delicious! I loved everything we had that I cleaned everything off my plate. Even ate L’s scone haha Definitely would come here again. Service was amazing. Food was awesome! The establishment itself was pretty!
The English Rose Tea Room is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11am – 5pm. They have three serving times, and we got the 4pm tea time (on their website it said the tea times were 11am, 1pm, and 3pm so I don’t know why we had a 4pm time).
