AutoCamp Yosemite

We promised each other no gifts for our anniversary, but instead we will go on an adventure. Make memories. Plus, living with each other and seeing each other pretty much everyday, we tend to just buy everything we need. Plus, with T’s birthday the month before and Christmas the month after, it tends to get expensive haha This year, we opted for Yosemite because I’ve never been and they recently opened an AutoCamp location and we enjoyed Russian River so much that we decided to give this location a go!

AutoCamp Yosemite is located in Midpines, CA. It was a 3 hour drive from the East Bay and it’s about a 40 minute drive to the entrance to Yosemite. The drive there was pretty boring, not going to lie, but as soon as we got to the location it was worth it! I was not expecting the property to be so big! We parked our car and walked into the clubhouse to check-in, but we were a little early so they gave us a complimentary beverage (we both picked beer) and explored.

This location is HUGE! I think there was over 80 Airstreamers, tents (that are available April – October), cabins, and suites. The Clubhouse was just beautiful with the opened sliding doors. They had a little market where you can buy some food, wine/beer/alcohol, charcoal, t-shirts, and bunch of other goodies. Also inside the Clubhouse were bathrooms that people can shower and get ready in, too. The Clubhouse is two levels and the pool was on the top level. There was a small little lake on the property, too. Augh, so beautiful and peaceful here!

When our Airstream was ready, we parked our car closer to our spot and made our way to Airstream #8 which was going to be our home for the next couple of days. The layout of the Airstream was exactly like our Airstream in Russian River. The only difference was that the fire pit was was behind the airstream instead of right next to it.

With the crap reception I had in Midpines and Yosemite, I was really happy our WiFi was great! Overall, I loved being at AutoCamp Yosemite and I would highly recommend and I would definitely stay here again.

Note to self: Don’t overpack on food. Let’s be real, Glo, you won’t eat everything. Also, don’t forget your alcohol because the alcohol is expensive there haha
