Napa

Another little outing we did before everything closed down was go to Napa !! Napa is not too far from us, about an hour and a half away, so it was nice to go for a quick drive.

Our first stop when we got to Napa was Southside in Carneros. I ordered the Biscuits & Gravy (buttermilk biscuit, chorizo sausage gravy, poached eggs, and cilantro). T ordered the Cuban Sandwich (roasted pork, ham, house pickle, Swiss cheese, spicy mustard, sourdough). Both meals were delish !! The gravy was BOMB.

Next stop was Robert Mondavi. I LOVE their Moscoto d’Oro. We both got a tasting flight, I totally forgot which one though haha

Afterwards, we headed to Cakebread Cellars to pick up two bottles of their Sauvignon Blanc since they didn’t have any available tours and tastings when we walked in. After, we headed to V. Sattui. We both fell in love with their Los Carneros 2017 Chardonnay haha

Since we had time to spare before our appointment at Rombauer, we pulled into Charles Krug. We’ve both never had their wines before, but purchased a bottle of their 2017 LE Chardonnay and sat outside to kill the bottle.

Finally, our last wine tasting for the day was at Rombauer. For the life of me I cannot remember the name of the gentleman that helped us, but he was AWESOME !! Definitely enjoyed our tasting with him. He had great stories, made wonderful recommendations for us to go and try, and just was great to converse with!

We then drove to our home for the night, Indian Springs Calistoga, and checked into our room that overlooked the geyser. We eventually made our way to the restaurant onsite (Sam’s Social Club) to grab drinks and a sniccysnack (deviled eggs) !!

After we got back, we both got ready for our dinner at RH Yountville. This place was AMAZING. It’s such a beautiful spot. The ambiance is so romantic with the chandeliers and dim lighting. The trees gave it a whimsical vibe. I seriously wished I wasn’t already drunk so I could’ve taken more pictures of the place. ALSO, I want to go here with my girls cause I know they’ll love it. I ordered the RH Burger, which was DELIIIISH. T got the Charred Rib Eye. We also ordered a side of fries and mushrooms. GAHHHH. I’m hungry now.

After dinner, T and I headed back to our hotel and changed into our swimsuits and headed to the geyser heated pool, which was at 100 degrees. You would think it would be hella hot, but it wasn’t. It was just right for the chilly February night.

The next morning, we got ready and I didn’t want to say good bye to Indian Springs. That place was gorgeous. It was nice to just lounge around and be lazy and be in-love haha. I wish I had a view like that everyday. A girl can only wish.

Before leaving, we headed into Calistoga to pick up some goodies to take home with us, as wells as some bombs burgers from Squeeze Inn in Napa. We both got some Squeezeburgers with Cheese. Gahhhh. I am drooling right now thinking about those burgers.
