Son & Garden – Menlo Park

What’s a great way to celebrate a milestone birthday? Food and drinks of course! Especially when food and drinks come in the form of brunch and instagramworthiness.

Son & Garden in Menlo Park gives you great Instagram vibes while satisfying your hunger. We decided to invite Kelsey for brunch as it was her birthday and we wanted her to meet, BB. Son & Garden shared a parking lot with the Cal Train Station, so we did have to pay for parking. I personally didn’t want to scour the area for street parking so whatever. A few bucks wasn’t a big deal.

We were seated on the lovely wrap around patio that had faux flowers hanging from the ceiling. Definitely picture worthy. Everything on the menu sounded delish, but I just had to go for the Fried Chicken Benedict because how can you pass that up? It’s a bit steep ($27), but man did I gobble that thing up and it left me satisfied. It was a boneless chicken that was fried to perfection and was accompanied by sautéed spinach, shishito pepper, and mushroom demi-glacé. It’s been a year since I had it and my mouth is still drooling for more. As for a drink, I got the Cloud 9 because how can you pass on a drink with cotton candy? Plus I had to do it for the gram.

After brunch, we went inside to take pictures! They have this really cute (faux) flower wall with a ring light and phone stand if needed!
