Vegas: Day 4 – Red Rock Canyon.

01.20.18 – Surprisingly, I’ve never been to Red Rock Canyon until this recent trip to Vegas and I’m glad we were able to check it out! My sister lives about 20 minutes from it, so it was a super easy drive to get to it. When we left her neck of the woods, it was a bit chilly, but the sun was out. As soon as we hit the Red Rock area, the weather was cloudy and freezing! When we were entering the conservation park, it started to hail and then SNOW! The entrance fee to the place was $7.00 … Continue reading Vegas: Day 4 – Red Rock Canyon.

Vegas: Day 3.

01.19.18 – That morning, I rolled out of bed (actually, I rolled off the couch since we’ve been sleeping on my sister’s couch while we were in Vegas) and got the harness on the pupperoo and headed to the airport to pick up my sister as she was flying in from LA. Pepper definitely needs to get used to being in the car, especially when it’s just her and the driver. She was trying to stand on my lap while giving me kisses and when she was on the passenger seat she would cry. Anyways, we picked up my sister … Continue reading Vegas: Day 3.

Portland – Our “3 Day” Itinerary

We just got back from spending almost 3 days in Portland. We got to experience rainy, overcast, and sunny Portland. We definitely had more on our To-Do list, but because of the weather and lack of sleep our itinerary was cut short, but we still enjoyed our time! Saturday We flew in from SFO just before 11am. We took the MAX Red Line from the Airport towards City Center & Beaverton and got off at Gateway to switch onto the Max Green Line towards City Center/PSU where we got off at SW 5th & Oak (our hotel was around the … Continue reading Portland – Our “3 Day” Itinerary

Portland.

I’m pretty excited to be going back to Portland since the last time I was there was back in July. T has been in Portland, but for a like a couple of hours (he went years ago with a friend who went up for a job interview). Since he’s never really explored the city I thought it would be a great place to go to celebrate his birthday. This upcoming trip is going to feature a lot of food and beer (especially since I’m trying to cut out hard liquor). Also, with it raining, we are not able to go … Continue reading Portland.

Day 6: ATV, Ziplining, and Cave Swimming

We did this Mayan jungle ATV/ Zip line tour which was a ton of fun, but with one drawback… the mosquitoes! So early in the morning, we were picked up to be driven about 45 minutes out. We were told that because the villagers get their water supply from the cenote (natural pit, or sinkhole, resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater underneath) and cave, we cannot have any sunblock or bug spray. Anyways, we started off getting on ATVs. T drove me around which was nice. HOWEVER. This guy would purposefully slow down just to … Continue reading Day 6: ATV, Ziplining, and Cave Swimming
